Foil Blocking is sometimes known as hot foil blocking. It Is a dry printing process in which the image is transferred to The surface to be printed by a combination of heat and pressure.
The die used in hot foil blocking is mounted on the heat of the Machine and heated to the appropriate temperature. The card that Is to be printed on is positioned on the table of the machine. The Head and the table of the machine are brought together with some Pressure from the foil between them. The combination of heat and pressure Releases the pigment from the foil and transfers the image onto The car, this is the process of hot foil blocking. |
